Along castles, manors and summer houses, the House of Petar Preradović, a famous Croatian poet, is deservedly on the noblemen’s route. The famous poet and soldier was decorated by the Emperor Francis Joseph I with nobility for his military merits and the house where he spent his childhood, diving into the rural idyll, is nowadays a protected cultural monument. Nevertheless, its true value is hiding behind the entrance door where, entirely unexpectedly, a modern multimedia interpretation centre opens before you. Sit down in the old school bench and try to write with ink and goose quill and then discover all about the poet’s life by means of a hologram and modern technology. The fascinating exhibition will tell you a story about the circumstances of his life, about his poems and will inspire you to be active – try to complete the missing words in his poems or make a puzzle.
